Join Wscripted for its “Pitch a Decision-Maker” session. This virtual event welcomes a Decision-Maker each month looking to discover female-led projects as a special guest and 4 female or non-binary writers pitching to them their project available for option or financing.

This public 75 minutes session opens with a short Q&A between Wscripted and the special guest about their vision for developing female-led stories, followed by four pitches of 10 minutes and 5 minutes of pitching feedback offered by the guest to each talent.

Meet our Decision-Maker for this event: Valerie Steinberg, independent and creative producer based in Los Angeles, who develops and produces films and television globally. She has been selected for the Sundance x WIF Financing Intensive Lab, Berlinale Talents, Rotterdam Lab, Venice Biennale College Cinema, Film Independent Producing Lab, Tribeca All Access program, and the Hong Kong Asia Film Financing Forum. Her producing credits include Karmalink (dir. Jake Wachtel), a Cambodian “Buddhist sci-fi” feature film, executive produced by XYZ Films, opening night film of the 2021 Venice Film Critics' Week.

Calling women or non-binary storytellers with a HORROR or ELEVATED GENRE Feature/TV project to apply to pitch -> RSVP as a Pitch Applicant.

US-based and international screenwriters, writer-directors with an English-language project are welcome to apply to pitch before Friday February 11th at 6PM PT. Only the 4 selected writers will be notified on Monday February 21st.
