Yoga Therapy for Black Veterans and Their Caregivers

Description

Yoga2Sleep - Yoga Therapy for Black Veterans and Their Caregivers

Yoga classes offer instruction that touch on the whole spectrum of human experience. Yoga therapy, on the other hand, specifically applies yogic tools—postures, breath work, meditation, and more to address an individual’s needs and challenges—physically, mentally, emotionally, energetically, and spiritually.

In this way, Yoga2Sleep is dedicated to work with Black veterans and caregivers who have dealt with trauma stemming from military service, racism, sexism, and patriarchy.

To combat chronic fatigue and to curate empowered and holistic well-being for Black veterans, military service members and their families, this 4-week yoga therapy series provides an innovative way to address PTSD, TBI, trauma, and racism in an evidence-based, person-centered, 90-minute format. The first yoga therapy group will be held on Tuesdays, 9/13 and 9/20, and Thursdays, 9/15 and 9/22 from 4 pm ET to 5:30 pm ET.

SUGGESTED DONATION: $25.
